Nader kept a foreign gov official, who sounds like Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed, informed of his donations. This indictment suggests that MBZ directly oversaw Nader's efforts to gain influence with Clinton, and then Trump, on his behalf. motherjones.com/politics/2019/…
Important: Nader's influence effort succeeded. He attempted, via Elliott Broidy and maybe others, to get Rex Tillerson removed as Secretary of State because the UAE and Saudis disliked Tillerson's policies. And Trump of course did remove Tillerson. nytimes.com/2018/03/21/us/…
Khawaja gave Trump's inaugural committee $1 million Emails we obtained, and the indictment, show that Khawaja brought Nader to the inauguration as his guest. Given the straw donor scheme, this suggests Nader was also the source of the $1 million. motherjones.com/politics/2019/… 
Also new here (I think). Nader told Khawaja in WhatsApp messages that he was keeping someone he referred to as "HH" apprised of their scheme. HH sounds like a reference to "His Highness," Mohammed bin Zayed, the de facto ruler of the UAE.

Khawaja's lawyers, according to him and another person involved in the case, include former FBI director Louis Freeh and two former members of OJ's dream team: Robert Shapiro and Alan Dershowitz. He also told me has seven other lawyers, but didn't identify them.
Khawaja says he's being framed by Republicans because he backs Dems. He said his lawyers will “come down on” his foes “like the hand of God.” And: “Tell them Andy is not gonna stop supporting Democrats...He’s not gonna stop supporting Joe Biden. And let them go fuck themselves."
