In August, I started this handle to document what I saw happening with smart, cynical men in the media who gushed when they spoke about Pete. At the time, it was Bill Maher, Seth MacFarlane, Trevor Noah, Charlamagne da God, and Howard Stern. I called it "The Pete Effect"

But his recent essay on Meeting Pete has blown me away. His story is so compelling and heartwarming, I hope you'll spend some quiet time and absorb all of the pieces and people that had to come together for his meeting to happen. And the EFFECT it had on them all...
