This👆is why I love @hugorifkind's writing. We all know we are sick. But we are all, even those in a position to help, looking for who makes things better. Some journalists (especially at the BBC) must do more. Perhaps lawyers, like me, should ask whether judges can do more.
@hugorifkind But, ultimately, tackling the rampant dishonesty in politics is a job that can only be done by the political parties. Labour's Manifesto doesn't really engage with the scale of the problems. But the Tory Manifesto promises virtually nothing. 
@hugorifkind It's not easy to make the case for a democracy that functions as ours does. How long before our Government starts asking that question? And would the electorate disagree? Are you sure?
