1️⃣ There’s only one development being assessed by UK Gov for consent (decision 31/3/2020) - that is the Hitachi UKABWR and associated plant which has taken several years from start of design assessment to the consent application by Horizon. Developer & funding now required....
2️⃣ No, “smaller scale proposal” is coming out of this process, it just doesn’t work like that. The plan and application is for 1️⃣ only. So does he mean a small modular reactor? Of which none are in operation & probably 10 to 15 years away from now. Most are at the design stage...
3️⃣ Nuclear Power plants like the one based on the UKABWR at #Wylfa by their very nature require skilled STEM jobs and other roles+apprentices, contractors.

4️⃣ So what’s clear to me is that Mr ap Dafydd & Plaid Cymru haven’t done their homework on the issue which is a bit odd as it a thorn in the side for them at every election on Ynys Môn. It’s the electorate’s choice but if you’re a voter hoping that the current Wylfa development..
will be revived and it is high up your list of priorities in #GE2019 then I personally don’t get the claimed complete clarity at all on the news yesterday. More a sense for the issue of Wylfa & Nuclear Power to quietly go away from Plaid Cymru’s perspective on Ynys Môn.
