There's a cautious European welcome behind the scenes to the exit poll. This has nothing to do with politics: red or blue. The EU wants a strong government in the UK to take decisive action end three years of uncertainty which has been costly for European businesses /2
EU leaders hope if there is a strong majority for the Tories that could mean a softer Brexit - as Johnson could ignore the more extreme Brexit factions of his party. The leaders will briefly discuss Brexit tomorrow morning at their summit /3
