Interesting timing. The Russians on the ground are a mix of technicians, advisors and combat units from al Jufra to just inside the border with Egypt. They don't necessarily get paid by the same person or have the same goals.

Haftar's P4-BAA FA50 (Sonnig International) is now commuting to Jordan where he and his kids parked his Saudi skim from the $500M (reduced to $350M by the time it got to his plane). The original deal to buy Jordan's aviation junk may be back on. IL-76s flights are also humming.

Mortara keeps a private ex-military jet for fun Albatros L-39C (c/n 533623) in Libya with an American tail number N393WA designed to attract the attention of the UN Arms inspectors and just about every relevant regulatory aviation body on earth.

The lesson in all this is not to assume all the moving parts are synchronized. Haftar is hurting for money or worse skimmed so much he undermined his own machinations. Some folks have bailed for non payment, others stick it out, others are provided for free. So keep it fungible.
