There's much to say about Corbyn's mistakes of last 4 years.

But i think the 'Remain Movement' also fucked up, and it's partly why we are in this mess.

Here are my thoughts on that

1) The Remain Movement couldn't persuade Leavers to switch. It talked to its own base, never to sceptics.

It mobilised it's own people, but that meant both sides became polarised. It became a culture war.

This is also why Labour Leavers left.

The Remain Movement couldn't consolidate the Remain vote either. It was great at mobilising people but not at exercising that power.

It became like any other left-wing movement: powerless when it mattered. Sorry but that's not good enough.

The Remain Movement will face a new Labour leader who needs to win back Leavers.

No getting away from this.

I don't know if the Remain cause has any path now, but given the points above, Labour cannot put their faith in the 'Remain Movement' either.

Fundamentally, we in the Remain movement allowed this to become a culture war against the white working class.

This culture war cut through the Labour coalition, and Corbyn was unable to keep it together.

Perhaps a better leader could have. But RM also to blame.

Unless this movement fundamentally changes, it will continue being a disaster. And so far I've seen little self-reflection here.

I'm not interested in the self-defeating culture war either.
