How do you institute ‘internal controls’ that identify/correct when people are lying or acting in bad faith?
Bc that is the nature of the problem; ppl intentionally deceived.
What sort of ‘practicable’ corrective actions will address that?

History shows that these problems were brushed under the rug...
“Procedures” are administrative controls; the least effective type of control that exists.
If they think they can fix this with administrative controls, they are insane; if they even try, they are part of problem!

It’s tough - even a ‘know it all’ (like me 😆) looks at this situation and wonders... wtf can be done?
We can ID & punish the bad actors, but that isn’t ‘Prevention’... which is the goal!
I have to say... it’s a mess that makes me sympathetic to the ‘disband’ argument.

It’s undoubtedly a useful LE tool; I don’t like to think that there isn’t a better solution.
But... wtf is that solution that will will prevent liars & cheats, who’s ends justify the means... bc they view themselves hero’s?
