1) ~800 yrs ago, Madhwacharya started a unique parampara in Udupi - 8 mathas & a paryaya system. Each Swamy would worship Udupi Krishna for 2 years. Then the next.

6) Udupi Swamy #VishveshaTirtha Ji was in forefront in uniting the Hindu society. He opposed untouchability by touring SC/ST areas and spreading the unifying message of Bhagavad Gita. He met with Sanyasis from all castes and worked towards unity of the society.
