BREAKING: Al Shabab media reports heavy attack on both US and Kenyan army bases in Lamu. the attack starts with a suicide blast according to a pro Shabab website.
STATEMENT: Al Shabab says an elite group of Shabab fighters had launched a daring dawn raid on US naval base known as " Camp Simba" in Lamu county. the group said their fighters destroyed a military aircraft. No confirmation on casualties. 
BREAKING: U.S. Africa Command confirms Al Shabab attack on US navy base. "Africom acknowledges there was an attack at Manda Bay Airfield, Kenya and is monitoring the situation. "Al-Shabaab has claimed responsibility for the incident." @USAfricaCommand
