When y'all talk about how awful Bernie supporters are, like Warren fans haven't come for the head of any Native woman who dared to discuss Warren's deceptions -- do we want to get into this? Because we can have that convo and talk about your silence on it. We can do that a lot.
And saying I, as a Bernie supporter, have some responsibility to chase down assholes who like Bernie -- are you on here policing all the fans of your candidate? Or are we pretending none of them are toxic people causing harm on here? Bc that's your fantasy, not mine.
I'm insulted this morning and tired as hell of y'alls selective memory. When we talk about Warren's lies or DNA test debacle or the way her white women fans have viciously attacked Native women who dare to discuss it critically, y'all say we're helping Trump, but look at y'all.
It's always the default. Bernie didn't do anything worth attacking today? Cool, let's talk about how we won't vote for him bc his supporters are bad. Let's talk about how even the good ones must take responsibility for and control the bad ones somehow. Let's make it about that!
If y'all want to play "who's fans are assholes" I could write a hard hitting piece about the harassment I've received from Warren fans. You'd prob think "those ppl are awful, but I don't know or like or influence them. What am I supposed to do to fix them?" Then you might get it.
I'll make a deal w you all: I will make it my job to chase down and correct Bernie fans who say upsetting shit when y'all commit to spending an equal amount of time chasing down the white women Warren fans who have harassed Native women and (somehow) making them do better. Deal?
