I know that many readers are angry and/or frustrated with my commentary on Iran situation, with which they vehemently disagree. I pay attention to opposite opinions. Equally, I hope that readers who are here because of climate or Russiagate don't reject my opinions out of hand.
2/ I'm one of very small subset who was skeptical of both climate alarmism and the Iraq invasion. I'm also one of an even smaller subset who was immediately skeptical of Russiagate collusion and Douma chemical incident. I'm careful and work hard at research, but am not infallible
3/ Here's what I'm going to do and I hope that it is of interest both to readers enthusiastic about ratcheting up Iran tension and those who are not. I'm going to look at the backstory of "Iran-backed proxies" (Kata'ib Hezbollah), especially as response to rise of ISIS.
4/ I've been following events in Syria in real time for about three years and am very familiar with its chronology of events. It's a useful perspective for the chronology of events in Iraq that I'll spend time on. Hopefully these posts will be both topical and factual.
