In the history of our nation, the House of Representatives has impeached 20 individuals, including President Trump.

Witnesses have testified in every single completed impeachment trial.

Are Republicans willing to throw out the precedent followed since America’s founding?
We’ll start in 1804 with the first impeachment trial ever completed in the Senate—John Pickering was a federal judge who was removed from office...

His trial had witnesses.

2010—Judge Thomas Porteous was impeached and removed. His trial had 26 witnesses.

In 4 cases, impeachment was abandoned before witnesses could be called because the individual had already been expelled (Senator Blount) or resigned his office (Judges Delahay, English & Kent).
Senate precedent is astoundingly clear. The only way to avoid witnesses testimony is to resign or be expelled from office.

Contact your Senator to tell them they have a choice: protect President Trump, or protect our system of accountability.
