(A short story)
1.Amritsar enkindles a flame of endless memories in my mind, A small border town of religious importance and hub of Sikh history. Mere mention of the city fills me with mirth and joys of younger days.2....................

2. I distinctly remember my school where I never studied seriously. The Physics teacher was not happy with me and my friend Surender because we never did our home work. He used to shunt us out as his class began. We used to visit the nearby Devi temple .3.....

3. There was a wrestling pit near the temple where we wrestled and took bath under the copious flow of water of the tube well. After the period was over we were back to attend Chemistry class.Some times we decided to go to Golden Temple and spend our time by watching devotees.4.

4. One day Surender was absent but Physics teacher Mr. Arora was punctually there. That day I was alone to be sent out of the class. So I went to Golden Temple as hither to fore.There I met a girl of my age who was sitting in the outer periphery of the sanctum Santorum.5...

5.She had come from Jalandhar to pay her obeisance . Her name was Suneeta. Since I was local I gave her the guided tour of temple and the shops around the temple. That day I missed all the classes. She became friend of sorts and used to ring me up some times. 6...

6. This serial continued for three years till I left College. Then communication broke. I was on annual leave when I came from Nagaland where my unit was located. My maternal grand parents wanted to me to spend some days with them. For them I was same little blighter.7..

7. My maternal uncle who was five years elder to was getting married. So I asked about my would be Mami ji(Aunt).He told me her name and shown me photographs. Thus Suneeta my friend of three years became my Aunty ji. Any thing can happen, this life is full of surprises! 😮
