This is @SethBarronNY of @nypost. This is who’s trying to kill bail reform w/ lies & fear. He disparages Kalief Browder, jailed while innocent on Rikers & then killed himself from trauma: “A convicted car thief who was arrested for the strongarm robbery of a Mexican immigrant.” 
For the record: Kalief Browder was never convicted of anything. The prior allegations ended in a “youthful offender adjudication,” which was sealed to ensure he wouldn’t have a criminal record for people like @SethBarronNYC to weaponize against him.
For the record: the “strong arm robbery” he was arrested for never happened. He was innocent. Case was dismissed. Name cleared. Apparently not enough for the vile @nypost, determined to define a wrongfully jailed teenager, who suffered in solitary for years, by this false arrest.
I don’t know how a person can think such cruelty, let alone write such garbage. Even more incredible is the number of people who rely on the @nypost’s hateful, racist, desperate sensationalism to arrive at their opinions on anything. Visit justicenotfear.org/#reportfear. Reject fear:

As commonsense bail reform has started saving lives & keeping families together in NY, I’ve been horrified by efforts to use fear to defeat reason. Really want “public safety?” Look to Brooklyn. Practicing bail reform for years. Violent crime has plummeted.
.@SethBarronNYC: Not that it’ll sell, but instead of mimicking police & prosecutor terrifying predictions of what “mayhem” the future holds, consider reporting on what bail reform looks like. People charged w/ all kinds of crime, released, coming to court.
Of all the ways you couldve described Kalief Browder, you called him a “convicted car thief.” Instead of highlighting the pain & violence this innocent teenager was forced to endure on Rikers, you salaciously described his false arrest —“strongarm robbery.”
