@BernieSanders I'm with Bernie because there is too much suffering today, too much greed and inequality, too much racism and sexism and xenophobia today.

Suffering from the burden of student debt, unaffordable healthcare, the climate crisis, and so much more.

Suffering caused by the failure of our institutions and our democracy - that increasingly belong and cater to the wealthiest people and the largest corporations instead of WE THE PEOPLE.

Don’t be fooled: Trump is a symptom & a cause. Economic insecurity has been building for decades, creating deep anxiety & anger that the American dream is out of reach for most Americans

But here’s the thing. These problems are of our creation – which means the solutions are too

We CAN turn our nation around, away from cruelty to a sense of humanity and decency.

Away from me-first to a collective belief in our own interconnected humanity.

Away from greed and scarcity and towards love and generosity. The solutions are right in front of us.

Dr. King, whose life and legacy we celebrate today, said this—and it is just as true today as it was then:

“This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. Now is the time to make real the promises of democracy.”

I know that people are deeply concerned about this election and the choice ahead of us - and for good reason. The consequences of our actions are real. And it seem more comforting to go small, without disrupting the system.

Exactly one year from today, America will inaugurate a new President.

What we do between now and then, the way we organize, the way we build and expand our movement will mean the difference between four more years of Trump or a more hopeful future.

I am here because I want to tell you who I believe wholeheartedly will lead us forward — and that is Senator @BernieSanders!

I'm an activist and organizer. Like me, Bernie knows that nothing happens without organizing.

He brings authenticity and a clarity of policy prescriptions, a steadfastness that allows people to TRUST him.

True progressives are the first to the best and most just idea, and then they build the movement to MAKE that idea real.

And let’s just be very clear, Bernie Sanders help lead and create the movement for #MedicareForAll.

The stakes couldn’t be any higher. We can’t be tranquilized by gradualists or anesthetized by polite solutions that aren’t actually going to fix the problem.

We need deep, structural change.

We need the kind of change that President Bernie Sanders will bring.

Change like universal, comprehensive healthcare for every single person!

Change like student debt forgiveness & free public higher education for millions of young people across the country!

Change like stronger labor unions & real collective bargaining to check corporate power!

Change like progressive foreign policy that says NO MORE to the military industrial complex!

Change like expanding social security & taking care of our elders!

Change like taking on climate change that puts frontline folks, black and brown folks, and workers first!

Our next President must be courageous enough to say what is true and fight for what is right—all the time, not just when it is convenient or easy.

Our next President must be a leader who reminds us all that there is real power in thinking big!

Our next President must be a leader who understands that the power is in WE THE PEOPLE.

And that is why I am ALL IN for @BernieSanders.
