HKU medicine has launched an online app to help public health authorities worldwide to predict within 2-5 days/within the first 3 cases whether a super spreading event is happening - the tool was modeled from experience of and stats from dealing with SARS and MERS

HKU Medicine Dean Gabriel Leung expects the current public health measures currently taken in response to the Wuhan coronavirus will be able to lower 60 - 90 % of the spreading of the disease.

@XinqiSu @gmleunghku promised to be back for another presser within the week for updates on the Wuhan virus.

Interesting/pathetic that this has become the only promised channel that the public/reporters can be sure to expect to receive more authoritative info on the situation.
