I served & fought in OIF, OEF & OEF-TS to defend my nation.
The men in my family have worn the uniform for generations - some as a career, some just to do their part.
Many of my friends are from-

the military and many of us spent time as contractors.

Protecting the nation is one of the few appropriate jobs of government, and defense of the nation is the most patriotic duty an American can perform.

But when the DoD pays people like Stefan “the Walrus” Halper to spy-

on a Presidential candidate & frame an American hero (@GenFlynn ) , we’ve jumped the shark.

One of our greatest Generals-turned President warned us about this long ago - perhaps we should have listened.

War costs in both blood & treasure -

sometimes it’s necessary, as war is as old as human kind.

But if performed to line pockets or protect a stream of income rather than defend the nation?

That’s the greatest affront to our nation & her people that I could imagine.

America’s General was set up purely because of his plans to cull the unnecessary and trim the fat of a bloated intelligence apparatus that was more focused on job security than defense of the nation.
