You need twenty million people spreading a nationwide message that carries the nation right up to the election.

You get one chance at this. You get one message, a message that, like a train engine, can pull along all other messages.

To carry you up to the election it needs to be about the election. It needs to be the most compelling reason for people to make the effort to vote.

The message: Make your vote count - stop election cheating!

We know the Russians interfered in 2016 but it was home-grown republicans who rigged the election in states like NC, GA, WI and FL. They use a diverse range of methods to make it harder to detect - it's only recently that evidence has come to light about the cheating in GA.

The most effective and widespread election rigging uses voting machines and scanners/tabulators. I won't go into the technical methods of how this is done - there's plenty of information available on the internet, like this video.

The operation itself must comprise activities that are accessible to everyone.

Write, call, email and/or fax election authorities and SoS offices in your state to demand paper ballots and hand counts. These are actions near everyone can take that incur little expense.

Keeping in mind that it's essential to spread the message nationwide, hold regular demonstrations outside media offices and studios, small and large, on a low news day like Saturday (they're more likely to pick it up if it's outside the front day and they need a headline).

The main criticism I've encountered is there isn't time or it isn't practical for a state to change to paper ballots. But the priority of these activities, of the entire operation, is the message: we don't trust the election system; we know cheating happens; we're watching.

If it results in paper ballots being offered or more people having access to mail-in ballots, then that's a big plus.

But the real purpose is the power in the bond formed when voters unite with a single voice to say: voting is a right and every vote must be counted fairly.

It says to every county across the country: we are watching. This time, we are vigilant.

And it crosses party lines. If Republican supporters complain, Dem supporters can say: if you believe it's Democrats who cheat, then you should be joining us to stop the cheating.

It's also a way of exposing the cheaters: they will the the loudest and most outraged opponents. It will scare them silly to see that the entire nation is suddenly alert to election cheating. Those you can trust will be those like Kamala Harris who will be cheering you on.

We need a name
We all know "The price of Liberty is Eternal Vigilance" so let's call this: #OperationVigilance

We need everyone to be organizers. Start in small groups of friends & family. Post what you're doing and use the hashtag so groups can link up with each other.

Let's get it up and running. Be the snow drop that rolls down the mountain amassing more snow into a snowball that merges with other snowballs and becomes an avalanche.

That avalanche will give you a fairer election and a fair election means Democrats win.
