Just a reminder:

Trump had multiple reasons to want to order his henchmen to #takeHerOut.

Yovanovitch likely had a greater understanding of the significance of how Manafort-Kremlin were working to remove US military influence from Asia from her time in Kyrgyzstan.
Add to the eventual closure of Bishkek's Manos airbase, Trump's recent declaration of a willingness to close down operations in South Korea, prior threats against Japan, and his actions against Ukraine

He's still actively working to create a Eurasian void that Russia could fill
Prior to taking any action against funding for Ukraine, then, Yovanovitch CLEARLY had to be not only "taken out," but threatened and harassed so that any future claims of bad acts could be cast as the spurious claims of a disgruntled employee.
She was strong, though - stronger than he ever anticipated, and held out for a year until it was clearly communicated that there were active threats to her - and even if it was said they weren't physical threats, had to be cognizant that - in that part of the world -
In all nations that are impacted by the Russian sphere of influence, willingly or not...

all generic threats have to be considered to carry the risk of physical harm.

You don't flee a country because of a threat to your reputation.
The irony here is that by refusing to cave to the pressure of the administration and their henchmen, only leaving at last when instructed to do so because "threats..."

That has only made her stronger, and more believable.
I hope to hear the rest of her story soon.

Take a look at this map.

Recognize any other Asian nations that we've been asked to withdraw from because Trump assassinated there since this thread was written?
Iraq.

And what's that about ending engagement in Afghanistan? Syria? Turkey?
It's pretty damn clear: Putin wants Asia to himself.

The main task Trump was given by Putin is the same thing women have been saying to him for decades.

Withdraw. Get out. Pull out.
It's what Manafort was working for in Kyrgyzstan.
It's the consequence of EVERY action Trump has taken regarding Eurasia.

Withdraw the US from any sort of power from the Eurasian sphere of influence, so we can Make the USSR Great Again.
Putin undoubtedly framed each action differently, in a way that makes sense to a predator with an over-inflated ego and drive to 'look good' in the media... and, unfortunately, a lack of foresight and cognitive inflexibility.
And like the arrangement made before the election, Trump realized too late (or, rather, refused to admit at all) that he had been played by Putin - so he trudges forth with any explanation that keeps the cognitive dissonance at bay.
But, really - that's it.

Trump is Putin's puppet.

Though, perhaps less marionette as commonly depicted - more a ventriloquist's Dummy, with words and ideas planted deep in Trump's psyche, implanted by Putin's hand shoved through his rectum.

Trump is the Muscovian Dummy.
Trump's narcissism rejects this explanation, of course, and as a result, the decisions are spun as one-off impulses. He may even perceive these "decisions" to have been made in the same way, by his gut, on a case-by-case basis...

But that's wrong.
The pattern underlying those otherwise disjointed decisions is clear: everything Trump does on the international stage - when viewed holistically, all those actions help Vladik achieve his goal of getting the US out of the Eurasian sphere of influence.
And enabling THAT is what should be part of @RepAdamSchiff's closing statement:

Not only do all roads lead to Putin:
Putin doesn't want anyone else on those roads at all.

And he's using Trump to clear the way.
