Dramatic developments in #Iraq
Hours after Muqtada al-Sadr’s followers withdrew from the protests, it became clear that the numbers of others are few. The security forces go towards the protest squares in #Baghdad & other cities. Why did this happen and how? (1)
Yesterday, Muqtada Al-Sadr was insulted when accounts covering the demonstrations launched campaign against him because the demonstrations that he called for expulsion of U.S forces from the country with the participation of Shiite factions close to Iran (2)
While the real protests on the ground in Tahrir square were thanks Sadr because he chose the anti-US forces demonstrations should be far from their squares, & that disappointed the Shiite factions who opposing Tahrir protests & planed to be in Tahrir to make chaos, suddenly.. (3)
Suddenly, people through their social media accounts who covering Tahrir protests from abroad, launched a campaign against Sadr through numerous insults, This shocked the protests on the ground, both followers of Sadr & even the independents (4)
By campaign of both the carrying agenda people & Iraqis who live abroad who don’t understand what going on inside, put the protesters on the ground in trouble & embrace them in front of their colleagues of Sadr followers, who in fact consider the largest number of protesters (5)
Tahrir Square protesters have no problem w anti-US forces demonstrations as it peaceful & far from them, but seems it was problem 4 carrying agenda so they insult Sadr, which shocked the protests on ground who never involved in this, on the contrary, they were thankful to him (6)
The carrying agenda felt their wrong, some of them delete their tweets against Sadr & his followers under pressure from protesters on the ground. Now independent protest leaders in Baghdad, Basra & Nasiriyah are negotiating with Sadr's member & calling on them not to withdraw (7)
Since this morning, the demonstrators on the ground have called on Iraqis to come to squares to participate in the protests, after the numbers of demonstrators decreased significantly, after sadr's followers withdrawal.
Let's see what will happens (8)
This leads to fact that most ignored it, that Sadr’s followers play the biggest & important role in the anti-govt protests, This fact that those living abroad do not want to believe it, many of those killed in the demonstrations are the poor of sadr's followers (9)
Since the beginning of the protests on October, the carrying agenda or normal Iraqis who coverage the protests from abroad are calling for the withdrawal of #Sadr from the protests, now after he withdrawal, they accuse Sadr of selling the protests! (10)
For journalists & analysts (who are looking for independent coverage), ask the protesters on the ground, what is the role of Sadr's followers? For example ask civilians movments, , about this role, you will find the real answers that who living abroad do not want to believe (11)
The stupidest thing we always heard is that the Sadr movement is only political. Sadr movement is wider. it is social movement back to decades before 2003, a way from describing of its problems, but it is reality in Iraq, before, now & in the future (12)
For some of political class that started hours ago show its happiness on whats happened, do not rejoice too much, the protest will continue, even if it is ends, how will you rule a people who are became more aware against your bad acts? & became ready to protest at any moment!
