The 2019 NCoV Coronavirus is now in Africa, one case in Cote D'ivoire

Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
Don't touch your eyes,nose or mouth if your hands are not washed
If someone is sick and has respiratory symptoms, eg fever,cough etc don't go close
There are no vaccines yet or drugs for this virus.

This Coronavirus comes from the same family as SARS

This new one causes pneumonia,virus causes pneumonia. In severe cases there can be organ failure. Because it is vital, antibiotics are useless.
Pneumonia is an infection of the lungs, so symptoms like coughing, fever, fast or difficult breathing might be present.

Symptoms will vary from person to person.
No need to panic yet. Just follow the precautions.

The Corona virus is now in the US, France.

One challenge with it is that it's a new virus never seen before in humans, so there are no specific treatments or vaccines for it yet

Researchers are thinking that people without symptoms are spreading the disease

There are over a thousand confirmed cases with about 41 people dead.

Some of the deaths are outside Wuhan where this virus is said to have originated
We're still trying to contain Lassa fever, adding this to the burden will be terrible.

However, the world health organisation has not declared it an international emergency yet.

Sneeze or cough into your elbows

Simple rules you should know by now

. Don't use cotton buds to clean your ear
. Take folic acid while you're pregnant especially in the early stages
. Check your breasts after your period
. Don't shake a baby
. Don't kiss a baby
. Don't wash the inside of your vagina

What else?
Your ear cleans itself. Everytime you chew or talk, it pushes the wax outside.

Using buds pushes the wax further into the ear and may cause impaction which becomes difficult to remove and can even cause a reduction in hearing. I've seen it happen many times.

Let the wax be
Folic acid is important for brain development in the newborn. Taking it in the early stages of pregnancy helps.

Not taking it can lead to complications in the nervous system of the baby.

I hope you know that you don't add antiseptics to your baby's bath water. You'll harm your baby's skin in the long run.

Here's the thing. Your skin has normal bacteria
Called the “normal flora” which prevent other bacteria from colonising your skin. It's like your skin already has tenants.

When you use antiseptic liquids, you kill and wipe away these bacteria, exposing your baby's skin to other harmful bacteria that can cause skin infectionsf
For example boils, is a kind of skin infection. Also your skin needs to develop some sort of immunity by exposure to this normal flora.

Taking them out is counterproductive.

I get the impression that your local drugstore is going to sell out of masks. That's not mentioned in the WHO bulletin. Instead, the bulletin repeats "wash your hands, wash your hands, wash your hands". Drugstores should be selling out of hand sanitizer.
Does hand sanitizer actually work? It's the sort of thing I question. The answer appears to be "yes": the alcohol kills viruses.
