2/ As Trump is impeached and faces removal from office, his friend Netanyahu faces three indictments on corruption.
This is a political ploy by both leaders to distract from their abuse of power, designed to help Netanyahu win the election in less than six weeks.

3/ The plan itself is a plan for permanent Israeli military occupation and control, not a plan for peace. It is simply a continuation of Trump’s strategy since entering office: to disenfranchise Palestinians and deny their rights, their agency, and even their identity.
4/ Anyone calling on us to "just give it a chance" is revealing is either willfully ignorant to the reality on the ground or shamefully indifferent to Palestinian humanity.

5/ Trump has already been implementing his plan by moving the Embassy, recognizing Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, cutting aid to Palestinians, reversing US policy deeming Israeli settlements illegal, and using an executive order to silence Palestinian students.
6/ With no major Israeli political party supporting the creation of a Palestinian state, and repeated pledges by Netanyahu and Gantz to annex most/all of the occupied West Bank, Israel has made clear it will never relinquish control over the occupied Palestinian territories.
7/ It is long past time to take real action that can hold the Israeli government accountable, rather than continue to give it political cover.
