Sorry to crash your party 🎈
Gad ain’t that great 😢
Why did you think you needed it for MRA/MRI anyway? 🤔
So a neurologist could get a clearer picture of what? 📸
Something so big you can see it on the outside? (Like stroke)?
Does that poor dialysis patient know effects?
I’m a retired disabled RN, worked Acute,Critical Care, Government, Homecare. I received 9 doses unknown #gadolinium from 2007-2014.I was in CombiRx study for #MultipleSclerosis treatment. I have had several years of patches of thicker skin, extreme pain, and more.Similar to others.
We formed several groups of worldwide patients who communicate via social media. We are comparing notes and symptoms. We arrived at similar conclusions. Gad is Bad. It needs to be Stopped. Seriously, I am Not an Alarmist nor Kook. I am an insomniac in pain.
The problem as I see it is the push for @US_FDA to ignore many reports of suspected gadolinium toxicity. The Pressure For MRI Contrast manufacturers to sell one dose per MRI. The tech that told me It’s Safe, 9 times. My kidneys normal.
Warning ⚠️ Contrast Marketing plan? Salesman shows 2 MRI’s...
Says Look at these two pictures, this one is so much better!
(my first gad mri saw active MS lesion that led to diagnosis after 12 years). Start thinking, do I Really need Gad? Don’t sleepily just check the gad box.
Reconsider your MRI planning algorithms when your patient, regardless of kidney function, needs imaging.See my flow chart I did when Doctor found ankle mass on plain films.Ortho ordered MRI With Gad (even though I said I would refuse).
I looked at the differential.Bad v Not bad.
I had to argue with 5 Radiology staff before they would do a plain MRI. My oncologist said no problem. His plan was just like I laid out. I have had a lifetime of Gadolinium poisoning. Many of us have not been identified.
Thank You for the diagram shown... I have found calcium (tums) have helped me with pain and “hardness” of shards of white knife like pieces coming out of my skin. I wondered about calcium fluctuations and kidney failure patients...
I keep pondering all the different experiences of people claiming gad toxicity. We’ve all had Gad, Different types,
MRI machines vary,Our individual biochemical makeup varies on a given day. I don’t drink before MRI because it makes me pee. Was I a little dehydrated?
I believe Gad gets stuck in old scars.
I have addressed my concerns with all my Doctors.
None of them believe I am Gad toxic.
They all heard “It’s Safe “
Now I don’t expect you to agree with me.
Just ask you to listen to the untold story...

Almost forgot... “Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis “ is a misnomer. Kidneys don’t cause it.
The correct term is “anthropogenic “ or “iatrogenic “. M
