A short thread on the difference in governance between the BJP govt (was a NDA government officially but Sena was an internal opponent) and the MVA government in place now.

Let me start with Mumbai.Fadnavis government actually kick started infrastructure projects that were crucial for Mumbai but stalled for years and decades in some cases. The metro network that was planned in Mumbai in the last five years, could be the subject of research in future
A city that deserved a metro network had only a 11 m single route, albeit an important one. That route took 7 years to build and was made live before the 2014 assembly election. Fadnavis govt planned about 12-13 routes in a holistic manner with interconnects etc.
Connectivity to railway terminus, airport etc. was considered and work started on as many as 5-6 projects. Three projects are on the verge of completion in the next 1-2 years. The length of the planned network is 300 plus km and provide an alternative to crowded local trains
Now compare the MVA government. They stopped the metro yard construction at Aarey which has the potential to delay the main line of Mumbai metro the fully underground Metro 3.A committee appointed by them opined that Aarey is the best location, still they dont want to resume work
Its another matter that Devendra Fadnavis govt ensured that the trees were chopped immediately after the court decision and now moving the yard to some other place will only expose the stupidity and small mindedness of the Uddhav govt
On the other hand, it was proved that the trees in Navi Mumbai do not have the same importance as those in Aarey and they can be cut for a golf course, which helps the elite. Respected environment minister Penguin saheb has his priorities set. He wants the Mumbai Eye and aquarium
Metro construction can wait and be delayed. The Mumbaikars should not complain and instead visit the new aquarium and the Mumbai Eye. Let us see how infra projects in Mumbai and Maharashtra progress
Now some more gems from the MVA government. The online portal for conducting govt recruitment exams had some problems. Why fix them when you can scrap the portal and conduct exams offline? Gives immense scope for corruption and under table money
JalYuktShivar project helped around 12,000 villages become water self sufficient by creating micro irrigation structures to hold rain water and help improve the ground water table. There were some complaints of shoddy construction, so what should govt do. Of course scrap it
The poor tanker lobby guys (most of them linked to NCP) cannot suffer. They need to be rehabilitated and the common man should bear the pain.
The sarpanch elections in MH were made into direct ones instead of the gram panchayat electing the sarpanch. This resulted in many popular village non dynast leaders getting elected. How can this injustice be done to the dynasts? Even Rahul Gandhi said that India runs this way
So Dynast bacho, desh bachao slogan by given and remote control Pawar saheb made Uddhav scrap the direct election system of sarpanchs as well. How dare anyone aira gaira think of competing with dynasts like Penguin ji, Satej Patil, Adarsh Chavan etc
The evil Fadnavis govt also allowed the sinister farmers to vote in the APMC governing body elections. How dare the unwashed farmers have a say in how the APMCs are run? Pawar saheb was played the saviour and removed the voting rights of farmers. Well done Sir !!
Adarniya Pawar saheb who fought for farmers to be given 25,000 rupees per acre as compensation for natural calamity during the BJP government period and during elections, is now playing the reformer role by asking farmers to evolve and not look at the govt as mai baap.
The difference is governance is visible in just 2 months. Imagine how Maharashtra will be converted to a heaven on earth if Uddhav ji stays CM for the next five years, under the wings of the benevolent patriarch Pawar saheb
Sarcasm apart, the only scheme that has the potential to help common people and poor if implemented well is the Shivbhojan (food plate in Rs. 10). It is not a scheme that will transform lives of people or fortunes of the state. But it will certainly help poor who go hungry
That is the best the Sena can do. Remember Jhunka Bhakar scheme of 1995. Sena does not have governance in its DNA and hence expecting them to change the infra of the city/ state is like expecting an average student to crack the IIT/ IIM entrance exams
