IMPORTANT: So the CBP lied when they said there was no directive to profile people at the border. Looks like there is indeed a directive asking officers to profile people based on their national origin (Iranian, Lebanese, Palestinian) and their religion and sect (Shia).

We know many Iranians (citizens, residents, visa holders) have been stopped and interrogated with intrusive personal and political questions at multiple borders in Washington, New York and Massachusetts. And the lines of questioning has been similar the various borders.
