1) Amongst many other failures and outright lies from Corbyn's Labour on #Brexit this, the lie of a "Jobs first, protect workers rights Brexit" is right up there

Corbyn and Labour conspired to throw away worker & regulations protections, the greatest rights loss in history
2) There was *never* a jobs first #Brexit but more importantly a "protect workers rights" #Brexit was a complete & deliberate lie

Yesterday we enjoyed pan european workers rights on maternity, working time directive, sick pay, a whole host - that's all under threat
3) Corbyn proposed a "protect workers rights" #Brexit but what did that mean? We would by law enforce the same rights for our workers as they did in the EU, how? By what mechanism would they be enforced? By treaty?

And we would have no say over these rights outside of the EU
4) Its feasible that we could do this to a certain extent if we stayed in the SM but Labour were not offering that, and the fact remains rather than agreeing on workers rights as a community we would have those rights imposed on us as an outsider - that's clearly not sustainable
5) Its possible we could pass UK laws to "align" with the EU but they would be thrown out by the next Tory government

The only way to protect Workers rights long term in a sustainable fashion was stay in the EU

And Corbyn must have known that & known that his brexit was a lie
6) There is simply no way you can extend EU Workers rights to UK workers indefinitely if you are not in the EU, the next time there is a Tory government they would start undermining them

Corbyn never admitted this, like in other areas he pretended Brexit could be painless
7) Now that "social democratic safety net" has gone
And Corbyn, and every Labour MP, and every Labour member is complicit in the greatest threat to workers rights in living memory
8) The EU is a "Liberal Anchor" - its structures and protections limit the ability of its members states to swing to the extreme

The ERG wanted out, for the same reason Corbyn did, they wanted to remodel the economy to their own image

Corbyn gambled, and lost
9) that gamble, that Labour would be in power for ever & would therefore protect workers rights outside of the limitations of the EU was the most hubristic, self indulgent, irresponsible act of any Labour leader in history

The great socialist has lost us our core protections
10) This isn't some great insight - it's obvious after a moments thought. How could Corbyn guarantee that UK workers would have the same rights as say Mexican workers or Canadian workers, forever, in a way that cannot be challenged. It's ludicrous
But Labour believed him
11) So @UKLabour hats off, job well done

Not only did you hand us #Brexit by fronting a bogeyman people simply couldn't vote for, by pretending workers rights might not be under threat you guaranteed they would be, by making that threat "project fear"

Really, take a bow
