1/ These quotes from Johnson's speech contain a number of serious falsehoods.
2/ The claim about not accepting EU rules contradicts what the UK signed up to in the political declaration. Striking that the government is reportedly accusing the *EU* of "reneging" on this.
3/ The reference to trade on the basis of the withdrawal agreement is gobbledygook. Apart from Northern Ireland, the trade relations in the withdrawal agreement end at the end of the transition period.
4/ Referring to "Australia" as distinct from "no deal" is highly misleading. The EU and Australia currently have only a small number of trade agreements, which is not much different from no deal.
