This is like what happened to Santorum in 2012.
Romney was declared the winner, with all the accompanying glory. Then we all woke up and RPI said, "Oops, it was Santorum," but it was too late.
He raised holy hell* about it but no one cared.

Think of it like when a 1st Runner up for Miss America takes over when the winner is unable to perform her duties, but she never gets the experience of being crowned in front of a cheering audience of thousands.

I don't think we will never know the "real" winner. And if they do announce any numbers, it won't matter. Whatever happens, the results will always be suspect and forever tainted. It doesn't matter. It never will.
