The biggest thrill for me as a writer is when someone tells me that something I wrote changed their life. What an honour to have had such an impact on someone’s ideas.
I’m thinking of that as I start a new writing project. My goals for it are:

So I’ve gathered my notebooks and I’m rereading them. There’s always passages that I repeat over and over, years apart.But the repetition tells me: must dig here.
