"Greedy unions" is a well-worn conservative theme. The Alberta Union of Public Employees (health care) voted to accept a 0% increase in pay last contract. 2/3
On the other hand, the UCP gave away $4.7 Billion of provincial revenue to profitable oil and gas companies and are now sniffing around looking to take $1.9 Billion out of Alberta's health care system.

Honestly, what is it with windshield wipers? My vehicle has thrown 2 blades so far this winter. And why are they so complicated to put on? The blade comes with a bunch of incomprehensible pictures and weird bits of plastic. 1/5 #FirstWorldProblems

Seamus had a couple of vaccinations due so we were at the vet this afternoon. Dodger came along as moral support dog. Just kidding. If Dodger had been left home she would have cried the whole time we were gone. 1/3 #dogs #DogsofTwittter
So, anyway, we went to the vet, all 3 of us. And everyone behaved. Including me. So, that was a big success. And Seamus was really brave and got a needle, and also weird stuff squirted up his nose, and he was as ok with it as anyone could be. 2/3
No veterinary staff were damaged in this outing. Now everyone is clearly wiped out from the afternoons' exertions and sacked out on their beds. Except me. I'm sitting at the computer, enjoying the peace and quiet. 3/3

engage in community that cares for those who need assistance? What about we do that? Stop putting down people who have less, or are different from us? Stop squabbling over petty things? What if we just all pitch in to do what's best for all of us together and our planet? ...2/4

I realise this is a radical idea. I expect the thought police at the door any minute.

THREAD: So called "conscience rights" represent a blatant attack on human rights in Alberta. This is "Back of the Bus" legislation that would allow any health care professional to deny medical treatment based on gender, race, sexual orientation, gender identity. #ableg #abpoli
Danielle Smith tried this in 2012 and it was a major factor in the election of Alison Redford and the ultimate demise of the Wild Rose Party. Clearly, the majority of Albertans opposed it then, just as they do now.
Courts have ruled that medical professionals and marriage commissioners do not have the "freedom of religion" to deny public service to women, minorities, or LGBTQ2 people (or anyone). This is a violation of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Basically, this means that there is a finite number of CT SCANS that can be done. And they’ve been told they CAN NOT exceed this.
