This is my dad writing a letter on behalf of our family to WWII veteran Fred Arsenault who is celebrating his 100th birthday next month.
Thank you, Mr. Arsenault for your service to protect what makes 🇨🇦 the free, welcoming and peaceful country that we are honored to call home. ImageImageImageImage
The letter reads:
"Dear Mr. Arsenault,
On behalf of the Hadhad Family, Syrian chocolatiers and owners of Peace By Chocolate, we would like to honour you and help celebrate your 100th birthday with a box of chocolate lovingly made in Antigonish, Nova Scotia...
Thank you for your service in WWII. Your dedication to and sacrifice for Canada has directly helped to make it the type of country that welcomes people in need, just like our family when we had to flee our homeland and were accepted here as refugees to begin a new life...
in a safe place. Thank you.
Happy Birthday to you! We hope you have the most wonderful day!"

The letter is in English, Arabic & other team members translated it to Tagalog, expressing their thanks to his actions which laid the groundwork for them to come to 🇨🇦 as immigrants.

Getting publicity for a project, and translating that publicity into actual $$$, is hard work, particularly in a market like the #RPG one. The build up of patrons for my Paranormal Friction #Patreon has been slow. Super slow.
I would like to see the project tip over $100 per month in the first couple of months of 2020. That happening before my birthday next month would be awesome. Why am I developing my game using #Patreon rather than just launching a Kickstarter and letting people throw money at it?
There's a couple of reasons. The first, and primary one, is economic. Writing a complete role-playing game takes time and effort. I need to be able to financially spend the time that the game needs, which means that money has to come from someplace.
