What Biden could have and should have done is stood before the press, turned out his pockets and been the stern father. “I love my son. I stand by him. But this things looks wrong, by God. And looking wrong is bad enough. As of now trading on the Biden name comes to an end...”
That is not Trump’s fault. That is getting ahead of a political fact that was going to happen one way or the other. But Biden is either too stubborn or not lucid enough to do that.

There’s an attitude on the left that Hunter Biden is a child, sacrosanct, not a public official, or deserves some kind of discretion. Through his own actions none of that is true. His father’s refusal to reckon with that is a real problem.
