In most of the states of the country, we already know whIch party will win on November 3rd. No matter what happens between now and then.

The election will be decided by a few states. And, as is the case in every state except for Maine and Nebraska, to get any credit that will go toward the 270 electoral votes needed to become the next President, you have to win statewide.
So one question everybody should consider when thinking about who can beat Trump is, what evidence exists that the candidate could win in those few states that will determine the outcome. Those few state which tend to be politically moderate.
Somebody will say something like “[Pick a candidate] can beat Trump!” Ask why? They’ll probably say something like “they have a lot of energy!” Ask if that energy can win places like NC, FL, PA, WI, MI and AZ. How does the candidate poll there against Trump? What’s the evidence?
It’s real simple. If a candidate can not win statewide in swing states like Florida (#27, right in the middle), Pennsylvania (#32, near the middle), Nevada (#31), Wisconsin (#29), Michigan (#30), they’re not going to get to 270. Which means they’re not gonna beat Trump.
