It doesn’t matter who wins the popular vote. It doesn’t matter if millions more Americans dislike him than like him.
We don’t have a national election. We have 51 separate elections, one for each state and DC. The winner of each gets electors. Whoever gets 270 wins.

Every state other than Maine and Nebraska are winner-take-all. Meaning there is no practical difference between winning California by 1 vote and by 10 million. Vote no matter where you live. Trump is not the only one on the ballot.
If Trump is going to get fired, it’s not going to be because a bunch of people get angry on Twitter. It’s going to be because somebody other than him wins enough of those 51 desperate elections on November 3rd to accumulate 270 electoral votes. It’s how it works.
If you want to fire Trump, here’s what we have to do:
1) Be registered to vote. Otherwise, nobody really cares. By the way, did you know that turnout in blue states is higher than in red states? Trump won some states simply because people did not bother to vote.

2) Hope, pray and, if you can, influence, the Democrats to pick someone who can win the electoral college. This means beating Trump in places like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan and making him fight extra hard in places like Arizona and North Carolina. Nothing else matters.
It doesn’t matter if the Democratic candidate energizes voters in states that Democrats win easily anyway.

We all get emotional on Twitter and vent our anger. But emotion accomplishes absolutely nothing if not strategically directed.
