A student from the University of Sussex has been admitted to hospital to be tested for coronavirus after recently returning from overseas.

A second GP surgery in Brighton has been shut following cases of coronavirus in the city. A sign fixed to the door of the Deneway branch says the surgery is closed due to “organisational health and safety reasons”.

Patcham Care Home in Brighton said it has closed the home to all visitors “as a precaution” but stressed no-one there is unwell.
Two people from Cottesmore St Mary Catholic Primary School in Hove have been advised by public health officials to self-isolate for two weeks after coming into contact with a coronavirus case.
It's emerged that a man identified as Bob Saynor and his wife Catriona Greenwood contracted coronavirus at the chalet where Steve Walsh stayed. She worked at the County Oak Medical centre as a locum GP.
Electrical supplier Rexel says it has temporarily closed its Eastbourne branch after a member of staff came into contact with someone with suspected coronavirus. A spokesman for the company said staff were strictly following the relevant NHS and government precautionary advice. 
A staff member at Ocklynge Junior School in Eastbourne has been advised to self-isolate themselves after coming into contact with a confirmed #coronavirus case in Brighton. Head teacher Jon Reynard said it was a precautionary move and the school would remain open as normal.
