The funniest thing I learned about Chris Matthews' apparent ignorance of what Bernie Sanders means by "democratic socialism" is that he hosted his campaign co-chair, Nina Turner, the day Sanders gave his speech on the subject.
He opened the interview by asking her, "What do you make of this? I mean, Bernie gave a big speech, but this is bigger news, I have to tell you."
He ended it by saying, "Big speech today."
