OPEN SOURCE INVESTIGATION - It appears that Customs officials have hired a PR agency to launch coordinated hashtag campaigns "Customs Scam Bubble Burt" (currently #1 across Pak) and "False Accusation of Billions Evasions" against the sitting Prime Minister [Thread]
The narratives propagated by a chain of influencer accounts amplify talking points fed by a common source including the same grammatical mistake ("motives is", should have been "are"), indicating its inorganic origin. One sample I identified is attached.
Apparently, certain officials in Customs Intelligence Department are exhibiting rebellious tendencies through these influencers (read: paid mouthpieces). Differences with the ruling party aside, this is unbecoming of their disciplinary code of conduct and service rules.
Open source findings reveal that the originator of both coordinated hashtags is Zunair Khan alias "Zunee" (handle: zunairkh) from Islamabad, who professes to be a Digital Marketer/ Influencer.

Three specific handles propagating current hashtags ('zunairkh', 'OhLadyMania' and 'TayyabaZee') were previously identified by me spearheading a campaign "PIA Needs Arshad Malik" (Jan 2020) launched by Islamabad-based PR firm CRS. Read my previous report: posralab.wordpress.com/2020/01/02/has…
With reference to existing/ongoing hashtag campaigns, links with CRS could not be established (unlike my previous report on "PIA Needs Arshad Malik") which was (ignorantly) initiated from the personal handle of a female executive at CRS.
These hashtags pose important questions:

Q1: Do paid influencers scrutinise the narratives they are amplifying for a fee?

Q2: Is the PR firm which fed talking points to these accounts aware of ethical violations by helping civil servants publicly-shame the Chief Executive?
These are two of the most important questions which need to be asked from the elements involved.
Assuming what the Customs official allege (disrepute, demoralisation) is true:

Did they try to address their 'grievances' through systemic channels or send out a message through certain anchors?

What prompted them to act overtly aggressive?
Whatever the motives or 'intentions' might be, using social media for intra-governmental tussles isn't conducive for anyone involved. It reeks of political vendetta, something which all civil servants including military persons should staunchly abstain from [End]
