Congress is no 4 in Maharashtra, 4th in UP, 4th in Bihar, will be distant 3rd in Bengal, Zero in Delhi. Congress is effectively being relegated to a regional party now playing second fiddle and gandhis can not mount challenge to Modi’s leadership.
Rajasthan, MP where congress holds slender majority will flip again in 2023, Maharashtra will too mid term. Its a out retaining UP & Gujarat now, Bihar NDA has an edge. Punjab will flip too next time. Regional Satraps like SP, BSP, TMC, AAP, NCP dont play big role in LS level.
Who will challenge Modi as leader nationally, Congress decimation politically is good news for BJP till Gandhis remain at helm as it provides right mix for BJP. Government will finish cultural agenda by 2021-22 by that time Economy will start to kick in & delivery will speed up.
Basically there is no national umbrella party that can mount a challenge to BJP & lead a coalition against it. Decimation in Delhi is another nail in the coffin of Congress.
