Has there been an analysis showing *how many* black and brown people were stopped/frisked under Bloomberg’s admin? I’ve seen stop counts (580k in 2011) but that counts multiple stops of the same people. What’s the average stops per person & how many people in total were affected?
Was every or almost every black and brown man in NYC stopped and frisked once or twice a year or were NYPD choosing to stop and frisk a smaller population of black and brown men in the city 10-20x/year? What was the total scale of the policy’s impact and how intense per person?
(It could also be both that most black and brown men got stopped and frisked AND some got stopped and frisked 10-20x)
