1) Just started watching cable news from today and I can already tell you this is going to be a very long thread. Inside politics managed to have 3 seperate segments on Bernie, 2 of which were negative and the other neutral

2) the very first segment was about all of Bernie‘s Dem rivals attacking Bernie and was essentially an excuse to push all of their talking points. Less than 15 minutes they had a segment on Bloomberg which they used as an excuse to air his attack ad against Bernie suppprters.

3) In fact I’m going to keep track of how many times CNN and MSNBC airs the ad today, so that makes it #1.

finally they had a short segment on the topless protesters at Bernie's rally at the end of the program

4) The 1 pm hour on CNN also had a segment with the same description of “Dems ramp up attacks against Sanders” where they repeated all of the talking points against Bernie for their audience. The rest of the show was on Trump/CoronaVirus tho

5) 2 pm hour of CNN was hosted by Bernie hating Brooke Baldwin so of course she started her show by showing the Bloomberg attack ad on Bernie less than 2 minutes in. So that’s # 2.

6) This was soon followed by a segment with Harry Enten where Harry assumes, whether he’s right or not, that the viewers are total morons and put next to eachother each candidates odds of winning and odds of losing.

Spoiler: odds of losing is just 100% - odds of winning.

7) Harry then said that 12/20 is “about 60%” once again acting like the viewers are in 1st grade and then drew on his board using what appeared to be the writing skills of a first grader as well. Anyway the segment was awesome.

8) 3 pm hour on CNN was once again hosted by Brooke Baldwin and once again started within the first 2 mins of the show by showing the Bloomberg attack ad against Bernie supporters. That’s # 3.

9) This led into an interview with Jeff Weaver where Baldwin brought up bogus Culinary charges that have been discredited. And unfortunately yet again, Bernie and his campaign refuse to actually push back properly...

10) The entire interview was bad as Brooke tried to push divisions between AOC and Bernie over Medicare4All. At least Jeff cited the recent Yale study on Medicare4All. That said, mediocre performance by Weaver.

11) Later on the show Brooke had on Bloomberg surrogate Michael Nutter who absolutely embarrassed himself and tried to claim Bloomberg has never attacked Bernie... something so absurd even Baldwin pushed back on it a bit, tho not nearly as strongly as she pushed back on Weaver

12) Amazingly, Nutter actually tried to make excuses for Stop and Frisk... wow. He followed this clip by saying “at the same time, Mike “ regrets it or whatever... but only after saying this.

13) And it got worse somehow. Apparently Stop and Frisk was worth it is what the campaign and Bloomberg really think as they cited statistics to try to paint it as successful and I guess justifiable.

14) Brooke managed to get in A short segment on the price of wine being low currently which is about as on brand for a “can’t we just go back to Brunch” Democrat like Baldwin as there is

15) Over on MSNBC the 1 pm hour was ok’ish despite having Jon Ralston and a co-worker of his do a panel together. Not sure if I’ve seen a panel made up of only colleagues before

16) 2 pm hour got MSNBC in on the action as we had Katy Tur do a panel where she played the Bloomberg attack ad against Bernie supporters 8 minutes into the show making it #4.

17) The panel had hall of America caliber Bernie smearer Edward Isaac Dovere on it to immediately latch onto the story and complain that people are mean to him online and that it’s not just supporters but the campaign staff itself.

18) Later in the hour there was a segment with a Klobuchar’ s campaign chair that was pretty unremarkable.

there was a segment later about Medicare4All where at least they cited the Yale study before interviewing Wendell Potter who is good

19) 3 pm on MSNBC reported that Bloomberg Will show up if he makes the debate, and even better that more than half of the early caucus voters in Nevada so far have been first time voters.

20) Shoutout to chris jansing for hosting the 1 and 3 pm hours and not giving Bloomberg’s ad free air time on either when every other hour I’ve watched so far has played it.

21) The Lead on CNN was guest hosted by Dana Bash, so you knew there would be some crap, but she has on someone naked Jane Coaston who did a very good job telling the truth about Bernie being the frontrunner.

22) She also spoke out against people trying to compare Bernie to trump which was good.

of course Karen Finney brought up Bernie supporters and was practically begging Dana to run the video.

to my pleasant surprise and Dana Bash’s credit she didn’t play the video

23) Back on MSNBC on what has become the de facto worst show on all of msnbc, yes I’m including AM Joy, Deadline Whitehouse the coverage was joke. We had the first 20 minutes spent on Trump which was the only think that delayed the Bernie smearing but after that she interviewed

24) Joe Biden and after spending a few minutes on Trump and Bloomberg, she got Joe to attack Bernie on Medicare4all and guns. She then at 4:31 started talking about Bernie supporters and got Biden to push the same false stories. Biden clearly doesn’t use the Internet and doesnt

25) know what he’s talking about. He called him Trump-like. ‘Go on, check on.... you know... the websites on there” is what he said before Wallace rescued hi, from further showing that Biden doesn’t know much about the Internet at all.

26) Nicolle Wallace then claimed repeatedly that Bernie has refused to disavow comments and compared him to Trump and White nationalists. As we all know, Bernie has disavowed the attacks more than he even should, as it just feeds into the narrative, but that doesn’t stop Wallace

27) who seemingly can’t go one day with not just lying by omission but flat out lying about the facts. She’s unfit to be on the air and about as honest as Sean Hannity at this point. Worst of the Comments came at about 4:31 thru 4:34.

28) She came back with a panel while crying about moderates splitting the anti-Bernie vote and noted liberal... I’m being super sarcastic btw... Charlie Sykes claiming that Bernie won’t/hasn’t apologized and claiming their is a lot of oppo out there.. which there isn’t

29) And in the same segment Mara Gay somehow managed to forget that Nevada comes before S Carolina despite the fact voting has already started, theres a debate in 2 days and it’s been covered a bunch... amazing how they all know the Republican primary schedule but not Dem one

31) Axelrod literally said on Blitzers show at around 530 that if he were Bloomberg’s campaign he’d try to pay off every network to hold their polls until Thursday so he doesn’t qualify for the debate.... he was maybe kidding.... tho maybe not

32) MTP Daily was hosted by Katy Tur and she briefly played part of Bloomberg’s ad at the very beginning of her show making it #5. Later we had Jonathan Alter idiotically claiming that Biden is in better shape than Bernie in Nevada....

33) Very hostile interview between Katy Tur and Bloomberg surrogate Congresswoman Stephanie Murphy, who came off awful and like a total sellout in my opinion

34) Burnett‘s show which was guest hosted as well as the first hour of Cooper, tho I missed a segment, were relatively ok

35) Meanwhile back on MSNBC the coverage was appalling as they tried to give me a rage stroke or something.

First we had literally the best host at msnbc in Ayman Mohyeldin filling in for Melber and even he managed to be awful. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen him host an awful

36) segment before, but he did. The entire segment was about Bloomberg and Bloomberg’s issues and Bernie's supporters weren’t even discussed, yet they played the damn ad anyway even tho they never talked about it afterwards. So that makes it #6

37) it was at 6:28 and they were literally doing a compilation of every candidate taking shots at Bloomberg and they just threw to it for no reason. They than had a panel with some lady from the Apprentice and freaking Christina Greer who absolutely embarrassed herself.

38) The two panelists, especially Greer, made excuse after excuse for Bloomberg and talked about him like he was infallible and stop and frisk would be a week long story or something and the whole segment was disgusting. It was to the point where I wondered if Greer had been

39) hired as Bloomberg surrogate however later in the segment she revealed her real motivation, pure ego. She had written something weeks ago talking about Bloomberg’s strength so she needs him to be an unstoppable powerhouse so she could brag about predicting before anyone else

40) Which brings me to Hardball which was so awful, it might have been worse than deadline whitehouse. Of course he started the show with the ad, and he played almost all of it, more than any other show today. In fact I think he played the whole thing, it was like 45 secs long

41) Matthews became the only person on tv to show Bernies crowd from last night which he called “Trump like” before throwing to a terrible panel full of liars and hacks in Axelrod, Jonathan Allen, and the underratedly awful Eugene Robinson.

42) someone else should clip the segment because my mind has already begun to block it out and I refuse to watch the segment again.

basically media hacks don’t like being called out online, and prefer the days when they could just lie on air and not get yelled at.

43) it was from 7 to 7:15 and was a disaster and the rest of the show didn’t even cover 2020, but it was too much already. I haven’t been this upset since Cuomo did slam poetry in the air 2 or 3 months ago or so

44) I do this crap almost every day and see 1 terrible segment after another, but that segment was physically painful to watch.

45) She had on Ralston and surprisingly someone from Bernies campaign and even showed the Data for Progress Nevada poll that Nate Silver and the rest of the media is pretending doesn’t exist. You know this one.

46) it was kind of funny at around 7:39 when Joy Reid projected and talked about when people don’t like Bernie but their kids do.... anyway Ralston then went in on the Bernie narrating Culinary people story which is still bull and largely discredited

47) the show was actually ok’ish tho it was weird that Joy mocked Trump for calling today President’s Day even tho Harry Enten did a segment on CNN earlier talking about how all 3 spellings are correct depending on which state you are talking about

48) Maddow was all Trump, so I was able to skim thru it really quickly.

Cooper’s second hour on CNN was fine as well With a guy even saying he thought Bernie would beat Klobuchar in Minnesota

51) Anyway Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell was pretty bad as Lawrence is clearly upset that his favorite candidates in Warren and Klobuchar have no shot at the nomination and he was being a jerk as a result

52) First had a panel where Ben Rhodes framed the primary as how everyone needs to stop Bernie and Ruth whatever her name is just said matter of factly that Bernie is by far the weakest general election candidate with no pushback.

53) But it was O’Donnell himself who did most of the smearing, first bringing up that Bernie’s not even a Democrat and “never has been“ and then hitting Bernie on guns. But what was really outrageous is that O’Donnell once again lied to his audience about the Polls

54) While interviewing Jon Ralston, who must be getting paid by the day by msnbc since they keep using him 5 times a day, O’Donnell said that the AARP Las Vegas poll was the latest Vegas poll and even showed it on screen only for Ralston to call him out on it/correct him a bit

55) less than 2 hours earlier Joy Reid had shown the Data for Progress poll on her show, meaning O’Donnell had it but just pretended it didn’t exist.

56) Finally the 11th hour was horrendous as Brian Williams had Rick Wilson back on to call Bernie “grampa communist” and tell all the viewers that he was a guarantee win for Trump and that Obama had to stop him and that Bernie would lose badly in Michigan among other places

57) It’s great that the alleged liberal of the 3 cable news networks has a Republican in Brian Williams interview another Republican who had previously said borderline anti-Semitic things about Bernie on the same show a few weeks back to tell Democrats what to do for 6 to 7

58) uninterrupted minutes. Remember msnbc pretends there aren’t any general election polls or Dem primary polls for that matter when Bernie does too well in them

59) One last thing, cable news has gone from barely ever talking about a contested convention when they though Biden was the frontrunner, to talking about it like it’s a certainly bow that Bernie’s the frontrunner

60) “The latest poll” = showing a poll from a few days ago when there’s a newer one from a higher rated pollster out
