Given job churn alone - 25 000+ jobs will have to be replaced annually. At present 9% of care sector positions currently unfilled. These jobs meet neither salary, skill points criteria.
As from 2021 what do you think will happen?
Given that almost 80 000 care positions are unfilled - with similar high rates through the austerity years - it’s clear EU care workers are in no way “crowding out” UK care workers. So..
...what has to happen for 100 000 Brits to take on care jobs they refused to do before?
Acc to govt own estimates the number of care workers will have to increase by up to half a million in next 15 years due to ageing.
But care workers explicitly fail new immigration points criteria.
What will happen to all these elderly, disabled & in need people?
One extremely likely scenario is women quitting their jobs to look after relatives that require care.
...& their jobs - if skilled and/or over income threshold then being filled by..
...foreigners who meet the skill/income threshold points.
Our country is insane.
