This ruling—if SCOTUS upholds it—*destroys the government*.

Two Republicans (against one Democrat) ruled that if a President wants to stonewall Congress, he can do so indefinitely, fully, and on any topic he wants—without Congress having any meaningful recourse. Goodbye America.
PS/ Make no mistake: if SCOTUS upholds this ruling, Congress will have to start using its inherent contempt powers to incarcerate executive branch officials. And what sort of civil unrest/distress do you think one branch of government incarcerating members of another will cause?
PS2/ This was a partisan ruling designed to sacrifice America on the altar of a two-bit Florida con man. It's an unthinkable ruling, given precedent—as I imagine any law professor worth their salt will soon say on-air or in their classroom. Responsible lawyering requires no less.
