...was it generally known in the game history crowd that Capcom announced an X-Men SNES sequel? This was news to me!

It's been pointed out to me that this probably became Marvel Superheroes: War of the Gems, which I forgot exists because apparently my not caring about Marvel stuff outside of X-Men also applies to my internal video game database
