Bernie's big problem isn't that he's a progressive; it's that he's a progressive with an attitude: calling himself a socialist when he isn't, denouncing anyone who raises questions as a corporate tool. This thrills his followers, but scares off key constituencies 1/
If he has a bad night, which seems likely, it seems all too likely that he'll lash out at "the establishment" — which in this context means AA voters and suburban women. If so, he'll just make his problem worse 2/
A little magnanimity would go a long way — probably not enough to save his candidacy, although who knows, but enough to give him a lot of influence on the party's agenda. One can only hope. 3/
