Bizarrely I've had correspondence I've sent govt officials come up as part of ATIPs and had to argue my personal contact info should be redacted from the release (was released anyhow in one case). Yet the name of someone formally applying for federal funding is a no go.
Oh and btw the only reason I found out my personal contact information had been released was because someone who saw the ATIP and felt that was wrong notified me. Zero notice from the department or ATI office it was happening.
I'm a journalist so I don't really care if people have my cell or email - part of the job is cold calls (which can lead to great stories) and sometimes crank calls. But the double standard here is the issue.
