The wall to wall coverage of Coronavirus is giving me flashbacks to the time I woke up with an extremely blinding and piercing headache.
I rarely get ill, but I knew there was something seriously wrong, so a family member took me to hospital in north Edinburgh straight away.

After some initial checks by a doctor, they sent me to a quarantined bed in a private room for further tests and treatment.
I then drifted in and out of conciousness for the next week.

I remember asking a nurse to turn the heating down, not realising that it was my body which was at a dangerously high 39 °C.
At one point I woke up and I started to hallucinate, the room had shrunken in size (it was pretty wild), and I could see the hospital chaplain standing over me.

As you can imagine, I feared for the worst.
On reflection, I now find this funny because it turned out my best friend’s uncle is the hospital chaplain, and he simply thought it would be nice to visit me after he found out I’d be taken in.
As I started to get better, I was told that there are millions of viruses out there, but only around 5,000 viruses have been described in detail. So they couldn’t tell me exactly what had caused it.

But needless to say, I was 100% within about two weeks.
