A few stories about @BernieSanders and why I’m supporting him (and you should, too):
I grew up in Burlington, Vermont. Bernie was, and always will be, a big role model of mine. He got me in this fight. He was progressive before it was cool.
No one thought a mayor of a small town could be president — til this cycle. Mayor Bernie stood up to big developers & transformed our city, for the better, for generations to come. We Burlingtonians know how powerfully transformative it is to have a chief executor fighting for us
My dad had an unexpected heart attack last Fall, around the same time as Bernie. It was devastating for our family & he should have died. But he didn’t. He and Bernie hung out in the cardiac rehab center in Burlington, looked at his medical bills, & talked about the need for M4A
Bernie shows the heck up. There’s a reason he’s the most popular senator in their state. He’s here for us, the working families. One time, we saw him leaving the Rural Postal Mail Carriers of Vermont annual dinner. That’s commitment ok??
I grew up with his next door neighbor and she once told this story about how there was dog poop on her lawn and next thing she knew, it was gone — he had grabbed it. What more do you want??
And finally, the guy is still out here fighting for all of us, for health care, a livable planet, social justice & so much more. This is a no-brainer for me, & again, I’m gonna give Bernie everything I have. I’m privileged to know him personally & know he’s the real deal.
hey all you #NotMeUs people I am glad we are (finally?) unifying but would love to know your thoughts and hear your voices against this:
