[Thread] Did anyone watch the Care Bears when they were younger? A morally instructive show about erm, coloured bears. The only episode I remember taught a lesson that is absolutely pertinent today with all the stockpiling & rationing. It was about a magic apple tree... #COVID19
2/ A magic apple tree provides all the village bears with all the apples they need. As soon as you pick one, it is replaced instantly, almost exactly like antibacterial wipes in normal times are on the supermarket shelves. So long as you only take one, the tree will replenish.BUT
3/Someone takes a few apples for their kids, sparking a rumour that the tree is running out of apples. This sparks a panic and all the village bears raid the tree to claim their apples. This kills the tree. Result, no apples for anyone. Moral of the story, rumours and selfishness
4/ Will leave you with no apples (or toilet paper). For those who haven't learned the formative lesson you can watch the episode on YouTube...
