Who in Bernie's movement is claiming that "there is no space for a moment of levity in a primary election", or has a "Manichean, abusive, my-exact-way-or-the-highway approach to assembling a winning coalition"? Who exactly is he talking about? This is abusive via straw man. 
Bernie movement is joyous, welcoming, gracious. We're not talking about a splinter left faction: it's a mass movement funded by working people. I can't think of anything more welcoming in my lifetime. & if someone isn't joyous, I also wouldn't blame them: it's a hard/scary time.
